To whom it may concern:

Brewer Consulting Services (BCS), LLC would like to complement Mike Mayfield on excellent past performance with our organization.  Over the past 10 years we have employed over 50 Developer/Analyst and/or Project Managers and Mike is one of the best.  While we want to promote Mike’s continued professional success, as he has contributed to the success of our business, we do so with some regret, knowing that his gainful employment elsewhere means that it won’t be with us.

We employed Mike on two different occasions.  His first engagement for our firm was with Washington State Department of Licensing (DOL) where he worked on the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) Re-engineering Document Management (RDM) project from February 2001 to September 2001.   His second was with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) Apprenticeship Reporting and Tracking System (ARTS) from December 2002 to June 2003.

During his work with DOL, Mike was hired as the Lead Business/Technical Application Architect.  His roles included overall architecture and application design, technical oversight, developing and managing the work plan, designing and developing security, and other tasks.  Our firm received very complementary reports from clients with regard to Mike’s performance. The resulting product garnered statewide and national awards and acclaim.

Mike was hired for the L&I project to get the project back on track.  The project was running over budget, behind schedule, and our client was not happy.  Mike turned a troubled project around and his in-depth skills and personal savvy made it appear easy; he was able to instill confidence from the first day on the project.  Mike is an extremely talented Developer, superb Analyst, and highly experienced “real world” Project Manager.  Excellent technical skills, strong work ethic, and great people dynamics allow Mike to adapt to the role and environment he is placed into.

In short, Mike is an extraordinarily gifted individual.  We will seek his services for any opportunity we have. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to talk about Mike’s skills or the services he has provided our firm.

Sincerely,

Brett K. Brewer
